8 Downdraught Extractor The air is sucked in at the air dampers through the fat filter and is then blown via the extraction hose to the extraction duct and out into the open air . 17 Correct ventilation The extractor works best when there is low pressure in the kitchen. Therefore, the kitchen windows must be closed when the extractor is in operation.
