5 Before Y ou Begin This system includes two color-coded telephone line cor ds with modular plugs on each end. One cor d has CLEAR plugs and the other has BLUE plugs. • If you hav e a two-line (RJ-14) wall jack, use only the line cor d with CLEAR plugs. • If you hav e two single-line wall jacks, use both cords. 30 Answ ering Calls When the system answ ers a call, the caller hears the announcement you recorded follo wed by a beep. After the beep, the system begins recording y our caller’ s messa ge, up to three minutes long.
