9 INFORM A TION ABOUT THE WWVB SIGNAL RECEIVER IN CKA 1100 • When the radio is connected to AC power for the first time the receiver turns ‘ On ’ automatically and tries to receive the WW VB time signal. If the signal is received successfully the clock display will scroll for a few moments and then show the correct month, date, day, and time [...]

10 SETTING THE CLOCK THE FIRST TIME Location, Location, Location. Since the WW VB signal can be blocked or shielded by large metal objects, and affected by interference from other electronic devices, please do not place the radio and the external antenna in a metal cabinet, on a metal table, metal stand, or metal shelf.
