7 Assembly (Crated Unit) WARNING: Disconnect the s park plug wire and ground it agains t the engine to prevent unint ended starting. • Remove the lower two plastic wing knobs, cupped washers and carriage bolt (eyebolt on the left side) from the lowe r handle . 14 Check the adjustment of th e auger control as follows: • When the auger co ntrol is released and in the disengaged “u p” position, the cable should have very little slack. 19 Augers • The augers are secured to the spiral shaft with two shear bolts and hex lock nut s. If you hit a hard foreign object or ice jam, the snow thrower is designed so that th e bolts may shear.
