7 IN STALLATI ON SELECTI NG A LOCATION You can set the TAD-1016’ s base on a flat surface (suc h as a d esk or counter top), or mount it on a wall plate or di rectly on t he wal l. 13 T ELE PHONE PREP ARATIO N CONNECTING AND CHARGING T HE BATTERY PACK The TAD-1016 comes with a recharg e- able nickel-c admium bat tery in the handset. Before using your phone, you must connect the battery, then charge it for ab out 14 hours. 1. 23 SETTI NG T HE REMOTE OPERAT ION PIN The PIN (persona l identification num - ber) p ermit s remote access to the TAD. The PIN can be any number from 00 to 99. (The d efault setting is 00.) 1.
