2 1. Requirements bef ore starting the installation Before starting the in stallation, make sure that you have everything you need at hand. Master remote control 22AV8573 or Guest remote control 22AV1109C And USB stick You will need the master remote c ontrol or the gu est remote contr ol to access th e menus. 3 2. Find out the state of the TV It is important to kn ow if a TV is in ‘ virgin mode’ (out of the box) or ins talled before. If you can see this screen below, y ou know that the TV is in ‘virgin mode’ and y ou can install the se t. See chap ter 4 of this manual. 4 3. Re -install TV If you want to start an installation from scratch you can always re -install the TV. This can be done by using the option: Re-install TV set. If the Professional mode is activ e you can access the setup menu by pr essing the ‘RC5 SETUP’ ke y, and then press the ‘Home/Menu’ button (For the guest remote contr ol, press the[...]

5 Pr ess “OK ” to access the sub -menu, n a vigate to “Reins tall TV” . Press “OK” to r einstall TV set. If all is c or rect s elect “Start n ow” and press “OK ”. After this operation the TV will po wer off and on and d isplay the install ation wizard. Note: All settings are at default values and no channel plan is available.[...]

6 4. Installation wizard When you turn on th e TV for the first ti me, or you have reinstall ed the TV, you should see the foll owing screen. Here you will need to select your preferred language . Please select with the Up and D own arrow keys an d confirm with ‘OK’ or press the Left arrow ke y. After this, you will need to select the country. [...]

7 The next step is to choose betwe en the options ‘Shop ’ and Home’. Selec t ‘Home’ for ins tallation. If you select “ SHOP ” an ‘e - sticker’ ban ner will be displa yed on the TV. This is f or commercial purp ose only. Now you can select the visual and hearing impaired options. If you select ‘ O n’ , your TV will automaticall[...]

8 Then you can selec t ‘Continue’ and press ‘ OK’ again. Here you can sel ect the type of channels you would lik e to install and what pr eference you will use. It is advisable to ch eck the settings befor e starting the search.[...]

9 The options from the Se ttings menu are: The “Frequency scan ” conta ins three options: - “Quick”: this is a fast method to search chan nels but it might skip some channels (d epending on the n etwork). - “Full”: the scan will s earch on all frequencies an d will store all channels available. This is the safe method if you don’t kno[...]

10 During the channel search you can see the progre ss bar and how man y channels are found at that time. When the search is done, you should s ee “ Channel se arch complete ” and a summary of the channels found . Press “ OK ” butt on on remo te control to finish the se arch. 11 Select “ Continue ” to start t he wizard and pres s the “ OK ” on remote c ontrol. The wizard will ask you some questions about which image you prefer, select the option you desire and press “ OK ” on the remo te control. Once this wizard is d one, you will return t o the installation menu again. The last option in this menu is “Ad[...]

12 After pressing “ Don e ” you have c ompleted the install ation of th e TV and you sh ould see this screen. Press “OK ” on the remote control to exit this wizard. Note: This wizard will not be available anymore when you start the TV the next time. The only way to re-use this wizard is to reinstall the TV set .[...]

13 5. Channel options a. Reordering channel s To reorder TV channels you need the channel plan from the Professional Settings menu. In the consumer menu you cannot rearrange channels. The Professional Settings menu can be access ed by using the Yellow remo te ( RC 22AV8573 Mas ter Remote contr ol) and pressing the MENU But ton or with the TV remote[...]

14 Select “Reorder” and Press the “OK ” button on the re mote control to re order channels. Navigate to the channel that you wan t to move and press “OK” on the re mote control to selec t that channel . The arrows around the channel indicate that the channel is selected and can be moved. Place a USB Memory stic k in the USB side c onnector of the TV. *USB device should be formatted as FA T or FAT32. 29 9. Feature settings [Multi RC] This function allows tha t up to four tele visions can be installed in a room wherea s every TV will li sten to its own RC.
