Programming Channels Before you can scan, you must program the channels within a bank. You can store one frequency per channel, up to 200 channels. Note: If appears on the display (keypad Locked), unlock the keypad by pressing and holding / KEYLOCK until disappears . Scanner to External Modem Plug the scanner end of the supplied remote interface cable into the remote port on the right side of your scanner. When connecting the cable to your scanner, make sure the label side of the cable is facing forward. Plug the other end of the cable (DB-9 serial connector) into the external modem.
