16 OPERA TION Mute This featur e lets you mute the telephone so that y ou can hear the other party , but the other par ty can’t hear you. T o activate this feature , press and release M . 18 Timer The screen displays the elapsed time in min utes and seconds for the first hour (up to 59 minutes, 59 seconds), then begins at zero again. The timer automatically stops when y ou hang up.
