6 Checking y our telephone When you first plug in your 8417, you may see a message asking you to make a language selec- tion. Follo w the directions on the display to select one of the languages. 8 Basic Features Making a call W ith the 8417 you can make a regular call or predial a telephone number . Predialing allows you to check the number before it is dialed out.
