8 Check Oil Level The importance of checking and maintaining the proper oil level in the crankcase cannot be overemphasized. Check oil BEFORE EACH USE as follows: 1. Make sure the engine is stopped, level, and is cool so the oil has had time to drain into the sump. 2. T o keep dirt, debris, etc., out of the engine, clean the area around the dipstic[...]

11 T o access and service the oil cooler, remov e the top mounting screw and loosen the two side screws, then lift off the No. 2 side cylinder shroud. If required, remove the two screws holding the oil cooler to the blower housing. Pull the cooler away from the blower housing.
