W ater softener T o achieve good cleaning results, the dishwasher needs soft water . Hard water results in calcium deposits on dishware and in the dishwasher . Filling the salt reservoir If your water hardness level is gr eater than 8 gr/gal, the salt reservoir should be filled before the first use and when the "Salt" indicator lights.
