24 Erase Icons T o erase an icon from the screen, first press the MENU k e y , then select the “Icon Options” menu as sho wn at right. There are three methods used to er ase icons from the screen. 30 W A YPOINT DA T AB ASE The AccuMap 12 giv es y ou the capability of creating y our own database of locations , called “w aypoints”.. Y ou can sav e your present position, cur- sor position, or enter a latitude/longitude and sa ve it as a wa ypoint. The AccuMap 12 can store up to 250 w a ypoints. 32 Edit Lat/Lon The AccuMap 12 lets y ou enter any latitude/longi- tude using the k eyboard and sa ve it under any w aypoint n umber , from 1 to 250. Y ou can also change an y wa ypoint’ s position using this method. T o do this, first select the wa ypoint number . When y ou select the USER WPTs menu, the GPS re- ceiv er places you at the last-us[...]

Re- peat this sequence until y ou’ve entered all of the letters in the wa ypoint name. Press the ENT k ey to accept this name, the WPT k ey to er ase all char- acters in the name , or[...]
