23 T ransposing the Ke yboar d The transpose featur e allows you to shift the pitch of the keyboard so that you can play in one key (such as the key of C) and have the sound come out in another key (such as the key of C#). 24 Adjusting the Pitch This featur e allows you to make fine adjustments to the piano's overall pitch, so that you can correct for small pitch dif fer ences when playing with other instruments.
