Y ou may plug it into the mains using the supplied a da ptor , or for listening away from the mains you may use either alkaline or rechargea ble batteries. W e do not recommend the use of carbon-zinc or zinc-chloride batteries. It is very importa nt[...]

21 If you use the radio powered from the batteries, the battery light will be off. When the batteries are exhausted, the radio will switch itself off.
