12 Befor e using your dishwasher for the first time When your new dishwasher is corr ectly set up and installed, you must fir st make it r eady for use. Befor e using your dishwasher for the first time, pr oceed as follows: - set the water softener; - fill the special salt container with special salt; - fill the rinse-aid dispenser with rinse-aid. 16 Adding dishwashing deter gent Use only tablets , powder or liquid detergents specifically designed for domestic dishwashers . 17 At the end of any washing pr ogramme the lid is always open, r eady for the next wash. Since not all deter gents are the same, you should also consult the instructions on the packet.
