6 MAINTENANCE OF THE MAIN GASKET SEAL Each housing is individually inspec ted and hydrostatically tested in th e factory. The design of the main gasket seal is among the most reliable in the industry and the watertight integrity is excellent. When to Maintain the Gasket Seal: Remove the gasket periodically for inspection. It is not necessary to remove, clean and re-install the gasket after every dive provided the gasket did not become contaminated.
