Scanning When you turn on the power, the BC 235XLT automatically starts in the Scan mode. During normal scanning the scanner skips unprogrammed or locked out channels. Chain Search Use Chain Search to find active frequencies in your area. You can search up to all five personal bands or turn off those bands you don’t want to hear.
